Overview

Eclipx is a major player in Australia’s fleet leasing and management space. To modernise their vehicle inspection and processing operations, Eclipx engaged Sentia to design and develop a mobile-first digital inspection solution for use by mechanics and inspectors across warehouses and field sites.

Sentia delivered a tightly integrated ecosystem that connects frontline users with backend systems, improving data accuracy, speed, and overall operational visibility.

We delivered:

  • Mobile inspection app built using platform-native SDKs, featuring photo capture, VIN scanning, condition tagging, and offline capabilities.
  • A secure Ruby on Rails backend hosted on AWS, architected to handle multi-tenant data sync and real-time inspection workflows.
  • A RESTful API layer enabling direct communication between the inspection app and internal fleet and lease management systems.
  • Structured data models and job status flows to support task progression, exception handling, and configurable inspection checklists.
  • Background services for media upload handling, ensuring lossless photo/document sync under varied connectivity conditions.
  • Admin-side integrations for managing user permissions, inspection records, vehicle history, and post-inspection actions.
