Paylab is an innovative platform that helps employees take control of their finances through features like Paylab Advance (earned wage access), cashback rewards on eGift card purchases, and streamlined charitable giving. Designed to be accessed either directly by users or as part of an employer benefits package, Paylab empowers better money management and more meaningful everyday spending.

Paylab engaged Sentia to build a secure, scalable digital ecosystem that included:

• A cross-platform mobile app for iOS and Android, giving users a seamless experience for accessing their earned pay, spending with reward partners, and donating to causes.
• A robust Ruby on Rails backend to handle payroll integration, pay calculations, real-time transactions, and business logic across employer and employee accounts.
• A powerful admin portal that allows Paylab to manage users, employers, transaction history, and reward configurations, with support for employer onboarding and payroll connectivity.
• Secure integrations with payment gateways, banking APIs, and digital gift card providers to ensure safe, compliant financial operations.

Through continuous collaboration, Sentia has helped scale Paylab’s offering while supporting its mission to deliver modern, meaningful financial tools for Australian workers.
