Overview

Smartspace provides intelligent workplace management solutions designed to optimise office utilisation, streamline bookings, and enhance visitor experiences.

Sentia played a critical role in architecting, designing, and delivering the core technology stack that powers Smartspace’s ecosystem. Our contributions included:

• Developing native iOS and Android STEM apps focused on mobile workforce productivity and workspace booking, ensuring smooth user experiences on diverse devices.
• Building the STEM web application, a responsive platform for administrators and users to manage bookings, resources, and workflows.
• Creating a meeting room booking display app for iPad, integrating with the web backend for real-time schedule updates and touch-enabled room management.
• Designing and implementing a multi-tenant architecture, enabling the platform to securely support multiple organisations with data and access segregation.
• Delivering a visitor check-in kiosk app that streamlines front-desk check-in, visitor validation, and integrates with backend visitor management systems.

Sentia also integrated the system with key enterprise technologies and identity providers, ensuring a secure, scalable, and seamless experience:

• Implemented Azure Active Directory integration for single sign-on (SSO) and user authentication.
• Integrated Brivo and Smartalock access control systems to manage physical building entry rights directly from the platform.
• Connected with Microsoft Exchange to synchronize calendars and meeting schedules for efficient resource management.
• Enabled SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) to automate user provisioning, role assignment, and lifecycle management across tenants.

By combining custom development with these integrations, Sentia helped Smartspace deliver a reliable, secure, and feature-rich workplace management platform that supports flexible work environments and enhances operational efficiency.
